The views are both carefully framed and expansive, influenced by the "Sugimoto view", which had a profound and positive effect on the final design of this home.

The design is practical, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms situated downstairs. Storage is a feature throughout this home, and every space has been used wisely. The walls and doors in the corridor are panelled with perforated plywood, creating a light, airy effect. The outer wall is glazing, so every room is light-filled, and has access to the full length balcony.

The upper living is a testament to thoughtful design, making the most of the view and providing sheltered outdoor living on both sides. You will especially like the interaction between the kitchen and the front living room, where the balcony seamlessly connects the two living areas and creates a feeling that you can be both inside and outside this sun-kissed home.

Double glazed, fully insulated, the downstairs concrete floors are temperature controlled and zone heated. The tiled bathroom floors are heated. Upstairs a heatpump, gas fireplace and solar gain ensure your comfort.

However, nothing is quite as good as being here in person. There are too many nuances to adequately describe this unique home and location. I will say this; if you desire a retreat from the hustle and bustle, you love iconic kiwiana, rugged, unspoilt southern beaches and coastlines, then this home is for you. There is double garaging, and visitor parking, with a walk up the path to the house, and down to the beautiful beach. If you are a surfer, you're in luck. This is a popular spot.

Please note for open homes, we cannot accommodate people parking up the driveway. So just park nearby and enjoy a walk up the hill.
